Category: Small SUV
Section: Version review
The model
Read full Volkswagen T-Cross reviewThe VW T-Cross is spacious and good to drive (although the Ford Puma is more fun), but if you're looking at top-of-the-range versions, consider the more sophisticated T-Roc, which is likely to be a better option. If you do buy a T-Cross, we recommend the 1.0 TSI 95 petrol engine and mid-range Match spec.
The trim
See full equipmentThis is the entry-level trim for the T-Cross and comes fitted with 16in alloy wheels, an 8.0in touchscreen, an 8.0 digital instrument panel, LED headlights, adaptive cruise control, air-conditioning and ambient lighting.
The engine
See full engine specsThis 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine is the cheapest available in the T-Cross and has 94bhp. It's no ball of fire, but performance is adequate and it keeps the price down. Comes with a five-speed manual gearbox.
