Going into this test, you might've guessed that the used Hyundai Tucson would win, because you're getting a considerably larger SUV for zero pounds and zero pence extra. You'd be right, but the margin of its victory is actually very small. 

This is mainly down to the Toyota Yaris Cross doing so well in the costs section – it's night-and-day better on fuel and there's that 10-year/100,000-mile warranty. So, while it can't match the Tucson for space, interior quality or refinement, it's still a great buy.
