The RC F is well equipped, has a great sounding V8 and feels pretty plush inside. As one last hurrah for a big V8-engined coupé, it remains a likeable choice. However, it comes up short as a performance car and is soundly beaten by the BMW M4.

Aside from having the benefit of rear cross-traffic alert and blind-spot monitoring, the Track Edition is a bit unnecessary - unless you absolutely have to have carbon-ceramic disc brakes.

Your only option, but what an engine. Outrageously quick and fantastic to listen to, the 457bhp 5.0-litre petrol can fire the RC F from 0-62mph in just 4.5sec. Did we mention how much we like the way it howls gloriously as it does so?
