The model
Read full Kia Picanto reviewThe 2024 Kia Picanto is a good small car with a smart interior, tidy handling and a very easy to use infotainment system. The Hyundai i10 is a bit more polished in terms of ride and refinement though, and a Dacia Sandero offers more space but costs even less.
The trim
See full equipmentThe cheapest trim's standard equipment includes an 8.0in touchscreen, 14in alloys, rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera and cruise control. It’s the most recommendable trim level because it keeps the price down but isn’t too sparsely equipped. It’s only available with the 1.0 MPi engine.
The engine
See full engine specsThe non-turbocharged 66bhp 1.0 MPi is pretty much the default choice. That's because it's available with the majority of trims and with a manual or automatic gearbox. 0-62mph takes just over 15.4sec (or 18.2sec for the auto), which is fine for pottering around town but does feel very sluggish out on the open road.
