The Nissan LEAF's limited-edition e+ 3.ZERO model offers even more power and range

Say hello to two new Nissan LEAF models: the 3.ZERO and the e+ 3.ZERO. Building on a hugely successful, record-breaking first year for the new-look LEAF, these enhanced versions of Nissan’s 100% electric family hatchback broaden its appeal to an even wider audience.

The new LEAF 3.ZERO takes everything that’s great about the LEAF and adds new body colours with two-tone colour combinations, as well as an 8-inch infotainment screen and additional connectivity through a revamped NissanConnect EV app – including door-to-door navigation.

The LEAF e+ 3.ZERO, on the other hand, is a limited-edition model that takes the performance of the LEAF to a whole new level. Nissan’s engineers have increased the power of the advanced electric motor from 150PS to 217PS, while a new Intelligent Power-enhanced lithium-ion battery features more cells, with 25% more density and a 55% increase in storage for longer range.

As a result, the LEAF e+ 3.ZERO has a 62kWh battery capacity, which means that it can travel up to 239 miles* from a single charge.

Both 3.ZERO models build on the success that has made the new-look LEAF the world’s best-selling EV in Europe, with 40,000 cars delivered in 2018 alone. As Gareth Dunsmore, Nissan Europe’s Director of electric vehicles, said: “The new Nissan LEAF e+ 3.ZERO limited-edition broadens the appeal of the LEAF family even further, adding more range to an award-winning package that remains great to drive and live with.”

A Company Car award-winner

The Nissan LEAF was named ‘Electric Car Of The Year’ by Company Car Today in January. The prize recognised the LEAF’s fleet-friendly competitive pricing, low running costs and zero emissions capability, as well as its everyday practicality and driver appeal. It’s just the latest in a series of awards that the LEAF has won over the last 12 months.
