New Skoda Kamiq vs Volkswagen T-Cross

Our verdict

If one of the main reasons you’re thinking about buying a small SUV is because you desire or require a high driving position, the T-Cross has a clear advantage. It’s also the quieter cruiser, especially on the motorway, and has the added bonus of adaptive cruise control to take the stress out of long journeys.

But the Kamiq is the marginally better all-rounder, thanks to its more comfortable ride, roomier rear seats, bigger boot and more upmarket interior. The fact that it’s the slightly cheaper option, whether you’re paying cash or signing up to a finance deal, also helps the Kamiq to clinch the win.
