Our verdict

While it’s impressive that the i3 still feels contemporary, thanks to its high-quality interior, striking design and punchy performance, this used example is trounced by the e-208 in many of the areas that will matter to the majority of EV buyers, including range and refinement.

And although the e-208 isn’t a bespoke EV, being based on the regular 208, this actually works in its favour, because it benefits from that car’s practical interior, plush ride and tidy handling. It may cost a little more than a used i3, but it’s worth every penny.
