Ford S-Max Vignale Concept revealed

The Ford S-Max Vignale Concept has been revealed at the Milan Design Week, with a production version due of the high-level model.

The S-Max is the second of Ford's models to be given a Vignale version, following on from the Mondeo that was shown at the Frankfurt motor show in 2013. The Mondeo Vignale will go into production in 2015, followed by the S-Max Vignale.

The S-Max Vignale Concept gets 21-inch alloy wheels, a distinctive Vignale grille, chrome exterior detailing and a bespoke paint job. Inside, it comes with high-quality, soft-touch leather that covers the seats and parts of the dashboard. The seats feature a quilting effect that was first seen on the Mondeo Vignale concept car, and dark red stitching.

Ford says that half of its large cars are sold in high-level trims, and that there is demand from 10-15% of its customers for a higher level of specification than that offered by the current range.

Vignale customers will also benefit from a higher level of service from Ford, including a dedicated relationship manager plus collection and delivery for servicing. Vignale Lounges will also be created at certain Ford dealerships.
