Read full New MG ZS reviewThe MG ZS has plenty in its favour, not least its low price and the fact that you get lots of equipment as standard. It also impresses for performance and fuel economy, and has roomy rear seats and a big boot. It's just a pity it's not better to drive and that the driving position won't work for everyone. Entry-level SE trim represents the best value for money.

See full equipmentThe entry-level trim is fairly well-equipped despite its low price, with rear parking sensors, LED headlights, a 10in touchscreen infotainment system and air-conditioning all fitted as standard. It's the only we'd go for.
The engine
See full engine specsThe 1.0T-GDI has more low-rev pull than the entry-level 1.5 and is quieter, too. However, we don't think that quite justifies the significantly higher price.
